VINEYARDS
The organic choice.
VINEYARDS
L”Astemia owns 30 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Barolo and Monforte, where the Tiradoss hill is located. Here, wines are made mainly from native grape varieties and are intimately linked to tradition.
With organic winemaking, launched in 2020, it is possible to vinify individual crus, bringing out all the characteristics of each vineyard from extremely healthy grapes. Organic fertilisation, low production quantities and loving care for the grapes contribute to creating a perfectly balanced glass of wine. Time confirms and reveals the quality and purity of the flavours.

“Our commitment is to bottle the best possible wine in the most natural way”.
In Barolo, a demanding terroir where conditions and tastes change in every field, our 5 hectares are home to 4 historic MGA (Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva) vineyards: Cannubi, Terlo, Crosia and Sarmassa. Nebbiolo, which is extremely sensitive to pedoclimatic variations, has its place of choice in Barolo, where it has developed a special symbiotic relationship with the soil.
L”Astemia is among the producers who like to experiment with varieties that are not strictly indigenous, but which produce remarkable wines when grown on the soil of the Langhe. Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Nascetta are the indigenous grapes that we grow. Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Viognier and Chardonnay are our chosen international varieties. We strive to bottle the best possible wine in the most natural way, giving our wines a strong territorial and varietal identity. Because when you taste wine, it is important to feel the changes of the seasons, of time and of the energy of a terroir - year after year, bottle after bottle.
