Barolo DOCG Terlo
Barolo DOCG Terlo
An opulent and powerful Barolo.
Wines from the Terlo cru are characterized by a mineral and earthy impact on the nose, enriched with notes of licorice and floral aromas, evolving into scents of black fruits and spices. A Barolo with a young but attractive olfactory structure.
More complex aromas develop with bottle aging, accompanied by a pleasant and aristocratic elegance.
A Barolo with very intense but elegant tannins, with a balsamic touch. On the palate, you can perceive the tension of its early evolutionary stage. It should be opened from time to time to assess its evolution.

Technical sheet
Barolo Terlo DOCG
Terlo is one of the lesser-known Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive (MGAs) of the region. In the current delimitation, officially established in 2010, it covers a total area of just 20 hectares. One of these is owned by L'Astemia.
In this area, the soil consists of gray-blue marl of Tortonian origin. A sub-alkaline soil, rich in lime, well endowed with both macro and microelements. Traditionally, the grapes from this vineyard have provided the backbone for the great classic Barolos.
